2nd comment: Wesley So sucks at rapid chess, rapid chess960, blitz chess, blitz chess960 and classical chess. Wesley So absolutely dominates classical chess960. It's like Marvel with live action movies & DC with animated series. Recently no one wants animated series (9LX), so DC (Wesley So) goes unappreciated.

Rapid? Duh. It's the same case in chess960. Hikaru is better in both rapid chess & rapid chess960. Wesley So is better in both classical chess & classical chess960.

Wesley So absolutely dominated classical chess960 in the 2019 INAUGURAL AND ONLY CLASSICAL WFRCC. Unbeaten 14/14 classical games.

Hikaru absolutely dominated rapid chess960 in 2022 INAUGURAL AND ONLY RAPID WFRCC. In the final 8, Hikaru lost only 1 game.

So good for Hikaru but

1 - Wesley So is the classical WFRCC.

2 - actually not good for Hikaru because Hikaru is a traitor to the US for siding with that hypocritical cheater and corrupt ra()st Magnus Carlsen over Hans Niemann. Obviously Magnus accused Hans of cheating because Hans is Jewish or American. Same reason I know Magnus manipulated FIDE to lower the time controls in the WFRCC from classical in 2019 to rapid in 2022.

Team Hans Niemann vs Team Magnus Carlsen is the modern chess version of 'Axis of Evil' vs 'Allies of Evil' that Bobby Fischer was talking about in 2005 (see ARNSi0cPu60 ).

I came to this realisation from a YouTube comment in 2023 March 'Hikaru owns Magnus.' That person was somehow a Hikaru simp BUT NOT a Magnus simp.

Hikaru & Magnus are not in competition. They're allies. They're co-defendants in Hans Niemann's lawsuit.

Here's what Bobby Fischer would think:

BF1 - They along with Danny Rensch / chessc*m and FIDE the 'allies of evil' of chess as opposed to the 'axis of evil' of chess.

BF2 - The 'axis of evil' here would consist of Hans Niemann, the ghost of Bobby Fischer & Sergey Karjakin. Iceland I think is Wesley So: doesn't side with axis of evil but sides against allies of evil.

BF3 - The US in 2005 viewed Iceland the way Magnus now views Hans. What Bobby Fischer said about the US & Iceland can be verbatim applied to Magnus & Hans:

'That is a very typical kind of slimy statement the US / Magnus, pretending that they're talking from the high moral level looking down on Iceland / Hans. The US / Magnus is so utterly hypocritical and corrupt.'

(Yeah I know Iceland is Wesley So, but now Iceland is Hans. Whatever.)

I think the parallel is:

BF3.1 - The US & Japan arrested / detained / imprisoned Bobby Fischer unjustly for a year, yet looks down on Iceland.

BF3.2 - Magnus cheated against Alireza, Danya & Nepo, yet is now baselessly accusing Hans of cheating.

BF4 - This is ironic considering Iceland & Norway are both Nordic countries:

BF4.1 - In politics (at least from Bobby Fischer's POV), the US is the bad guy while Iceland & I guess Norway & the other Nordic / Scandinavian countries are the good guys. (American NM John Chernoff aka zugaddict from lichess says: 'Magnus, like most Scandinavians, probably feels like America is a bit of a barbaric country.') But...

BF4.2 - In chess, the US is the good guy while Norway is the bad guy.

Magnus hates this event because it is a US event and because Magnus hates American players. Why else baselessly accuse an American Hans Niemann after being as agadmator said 'completely obliterated' by an American Wesley So in a variant created by an American Bobby Fischer? Also Magnus was unable to beat American Fabiano Caruana in the 2018 WCC classical portion. See? Sore loser and takes it out of Hans.

Bobby Fischer would agree with me and would side with Hans and Wesley So over Magnus and Hikaru. I don't think Bobby would like the US gov today, but I think Bobby would like US players today esp Hans and Wesley So. I guess Magnus is the reverse: no political opinion re US gov but has something against American players, as Magnus admitted in podcast (see yev3a1 ).

A.2 - Wesley So 'completely obliterated' (as agadmator said) Magnus Carlsen in the 9LX world championship 13.5-2.5 and 4-0. THIS INCLUDED 3 CLASSICAL GAMES IN A ROW. (Don't believe FIDE. 45+15=60 minutes in 2019 WFRCC is classical, not slow rapid. 25+7.5=32.5 minutes in 2022 WC is fast rapid, not slow rapid.) Magnus was 'deeply ashamed'. Later in the 2022 WC, FIDE lowered the time controls from classical to rapid to favour Magnus & Hikaru over Wesley So.

A.3 - Bobby Fischer invented 9LX, which Magnus sucks at. Look at the low ratings Magnus gave of Bobby in that world champions ranked series. Larry Kaufman told me:

Magnus doesn't generally play such great openings, he strives to get the game out of book as early as possible usually. I think the issue here is that his greatest strength is the endgame, but FRC games are much more likely to be decided in the middlegame as the players are on their own so early. That's probably why he doesn't shine as brightly in FRC as in Classical chess.

A.4 - Actually, the above 3, Hans Niemann, Wesley So and Bobby Fischer are like Beth Harmon: Each is 'a prodigy, had a rather dark childhood and is American'. Their stories about overcoming their struggles in childhood are very inspirational. Magnus rated The Queen's Gambit 5 out of 6, only 2nd highest rating. Kinda like Magnus in classical 9LX: only the 2nd highest player.
